Lace up your walking shoes, lather on the sunscreen and join the Friends at our 6th Annual 2K/5K WALK for the Animals and Pet Fair to be held at Heartwell Park (corner of Carson and Clark Avenues) in Long Beach. This is a special day dedicated to showing our love, support and appreciation of all animals including companion pets, service animals and seeing eye/hearing dogs. All proceeds from the event go directly into our community programs – SNIP (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) and Humane Education.

Join hundreds of enthusiastic WALK participants by registering to walk a 2K or 5K course on the bike path through scenic Heartwell Park. Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome to walk with their owners however it is not necessary to have a dog in order to participate. If you prefer to relax on a Sunday morning, simply join us for a fun-filled and educational day involving a variety of vendor booths, food, demonstrations, opportunity drawings and a very special Blessing of the Animals sponsored by Hautedogs.org. D.I.S.C. Dogs will be on hand with an entertaining demonstration of their energetic and athletic Frisbee dogs. Bring the family and spend the day in the company of other animal lovers and support a very worthwhile cause! The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 2nd.
