Wheely Willy is highly involved in the local community supporting many charitable causes, aids in community awareness and education as well as serving as an inspiration to those in need. Listed below are some of his most notable involvements.

	Willy makes routine visits to Miller's Children's Hospital to visit the young patients. The visits include the Starlight Playroom, Rehabilitation, and room to room visits. Children of all ages respond to Willy benefiting from his indomitable spirit.
Shane's Inspiration is an organization dedicated to providing playgrounds that are accessible to children with disabilities. This allows them to play independently with their peers, creating a truly integrated play environment where compassion and acceptance flourish. Willy attends many events involving Shane's Inspiration playing with all of the people attending them.
	Winners on Wheel's mission is to provide an innovative learning environment that will promote academic, social, and emotional development so children in wheelchairs can gain life skills. Willy serves as a mascot to the local Long Beach chapter of WOW, attending many events and interacting with all of the WOW participants.
The Veteran's administration is responsible for providing federal benefits to veterans and their dependents. Many veterans receive long term health care from the VA. In Long Beach, California, there is a spinal cord injury unit that Willy visits frequently and serves as an example of overcoming physical limitations by having a *can do* attitude
	Friends of Long Beach Animals promotes the humane treatment of cats, dogs and all other animals through education and a Spay/Neuter program within the cities of Long Beach and Signal Hill, California. FOLBA promotes awareness and support of legislation that make abuse of animals a serious crime.
Friends of Long Beach Animals sponsors a Humane Education program in Long Beach area schools. Willy is a key participant in the program. His gentle demeanor and positive attitude make him a perfect hands-on experience for children to learn healthy interaction with animals. This curriculum has been approved by the Long Beach Unified School District.
